Like it or not, Pulp Fiction (1994) has been highly regarded as the Citizen Kane of the 1990s. It was also Quentin Tarantino’s most important film he wrote and directed which consisted of different stories that connect to each other. It helped him win Best Original Screenplay at the Oscars.
One of my biggest voice acting influences, Phil LaMarr was in Pulp Fiction (1994) and his involvement made Pulp Fiction even better. Most people remember Pulp Fiction because of Vincent Vega (John Travolta), Jules Whitfield (Samuel L. Jackson), Marsellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) and Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) but it is just more than star-power.
While the film can be profane and violent, most of the quotes are about anything. “Do you know what [the French] call a Quarter Pounder with cheese? Royale with Cheese.” “[Sam L. Jackson eats a Big Kahuna Burger] Now, this is a tasty burger!” In fact, a box of Fruit Brute can be found in a character’s house.
The legacy was very profound such as where Samuel L. Jackson re-used his “say what again” quote in the controversial animated series The Boondocks (2005-2014). Pulp Fiction is a great film to see at least once in your life.
