Timeless Classics: Unbreakable

Timeless Classics: Unbreakable

NOTE: If you haven’t seen Split (2016), then there is tons of retroactive spoilers.

Unbreakable (2000) is one of M. Night Shyamalan’s finest films. It is about a security guard named David Dunn (Bruce Willis) who had no injuries and the owner of a comic book shop known as Elijah Price (Samuel L. Jackson) who was born with fragile bones.

Elijah Price grew up with comics and superheroes in his childhood and wondered if David Dunn is a real superhero since the latter had no broken bones in his life, not even once.

Elijah Price is one of those Sam L. Jackson characters who is relatable and wondered what life is like for other people without injuries on their bones.

I personally had no broken bones throughout my life and that makes me the real David Dunn.

Unbreakable is a Timeless Classic because it made people wonder what makes people survive tragic incidents without any broken bones. Does it make them unique or super heroic?
