Batman: Arkham Asylum (2009) by Rocksteady Studios and WB Games was an unexpected success and has become an important video game for the 21st century.
It is also the beginning of a video game universe, centered towards Batman and all of his enemies from Gotham.
Arkham Asylum takes place in Arkham Asylum, home to the enemies of Batman (Kevin Conroy) including Bane (Fred Tatasciore), Killer Croc (Steve Blum), Scarecrow (Dino Andrade), Harley Quinn (Arleen Sorkin), Poison Ivy (Tasia Valenza), the Riddler (Wally Wingert) and the Joker (Mark Hamill).
People who grew up with Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi (1983) would be heavily surprised that the actor of Luke Skywalker did the voice of the Joker in the Arkham games and related Batman media.
Arkham Asylum had fluid and realistic gameplay inside an asylum. It also introduced the revolutionary challenge mode, where players test their combat and predator skills in maps based on the game.
The Joker had broke free of the asylum as well as five other villains to set up his latest plan. Batman has to use his intellect, gadgets and combat skills to lock the villains up again.
The game is very important to play.
