Timeless Classics: Scream

Timeless Classics: Scream

“What is your favorite scary movie?”

To answer that question, for some, it is Scream (1996), the revival of traditional horror films that began with A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Friday the 13th (1980) and Halloween (1976).

To prevent spoiling the film, it is best not to talk about what happened. However, the most iconic scene is where Drew Barrymore received a call from an anonymous man (Roger Jackson) who asked her about her favorite horror films. Unfortunately, all of those questions had cost her character’s life.

Scream is a postmodern take on traditional horror and I own the VHS of Scream with Drew Barrymore on the cover, which makes it even more iconic for myself.

Scream is worth watching for some scares alongside many other horror classics.
