Timeless Classics: A Nightmare On Elm Street

If there is any film that brought true nightmares to the big screen in the 1980s, it is A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984). It featured a girl (Heather Langenkamp) who had a series of nightmares being stolen by a fearsome demon named Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund). It also gave horror fans a way of learning about nightmares and dreams.

A Nightmare On Elm Street was very horrifying that only two of its sequels co-written by Wes Craven, the director of the original film had expanded upon its shocking concepts.

The film was one of Johnny Depp’s first roles before being a pirate captain or a chameleon sheriff.

While not for the faint of heart or dreams, this is one nightmare worth dreaming about.
