Timeless Classics: Shrek 2

Timeless Classics: Shrek 2

While Shrek (2001) was an unexpected success and phenomenon, Shrek 2 (2004) was even more phenomenal thanks to its bigger scale, better humor and additions to the Shrek mythology.

Shrek (Mike Myers) and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) had a nice honeymoon and were invited by King Harold (John Cleese) and Queen Lilian (Julie Andrews) who want to see their daughter and meet their Prince Charming, who is actually an ogre, to the king’s disgust.

While Shrek and Fiona had their happily ever after, Fiona’s Fairy Godmother (Jennifer Saunders) wants to prove that ogres never live happily ever after compared to other people in Shrek’s world.

The film is also the introduction to fan-favorite feline, Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas).

“Fear me, if you dare! Meow!”

Shrek 2 is a great successor to a great animated kids film and it is really worth watching.
