Timeless Classics: Transformers

Timeless Classics: Transformers

Based on the iconic 1980s Hasbro franchise and started a live-action film series of its own, Transformers (2007) is a visual delight and is considered Michael Bay’s Magnum Opus.

Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) found a strange yellow car that turns out to be a friendly Cybertronian named Bumblebee. He later met Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and learned about the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons.

The film was very notable for making Megan Fox an international icon of beauty and prices for related cars skyrocket, for a good reason. The film and subsequent follow-ups were also heavily praised for having veteran voice actor Peter Cullen reprise his iconic voice role of Optimus Prime. The film also produced four follow-ups, that can have mixed signals for fans or filmgoers in general.

Transformers had a great impact on film and technology for the late 2000s and beyond.
