Sonic Heroes (2003) was able to learn from some of the mistakes from both Sonic Adventure (1998) and Sonic Adventure 2 (2001) while adding in teamwork as the game’s focus.
Sonic, Tails and Knuckles got a message from Dr. Eggman that the evil doctor will conquer the world in three days. Three other teams that consisted of three people each had their own problems to deal with as well.
The game had four different story modes. Team Rose (Amy, Cream and Big) takes the game to an easy way, Team Chaotix (Espio, Charmy and Vector) give the stages a more interesting mission for each, Team Sonic (Sonic, Tails and Knuckles) have the normal stages on high-speed and Team Dark (Shadow, Rouge and E-123 Omega) have more difficult stages.
The game has two kinds of bonus rounds, one where the player can get tons of rings and one where the player has to get one of the seven Chaos Emeralds for a total of fourteen levels.
Sonic Heroes was able to have multiplayer where one team has to defeat the other.
Sonic Heroes is a great game to play with your children because it brought a lot about teamwork and that unity is stronger than being alone.
