A video game adaptation of mostly The Matrix (1999) and a few scenes of The Matrix Reloaded (2003) and The Matrix Revolutions (2003), the Wachowski sisters have shifted the focus to Neo with extra parts not found in other Matrix-related stories.
The game uses the combat skills first utilized in Enter the Matrix (2003) but has been heavily updated to fit Neo (Andrew Bowen). None of the film actors have reprised their roles besides Laurence Fishburne. However, the ending of the game heavily differs from the end of The Matrix Revolutions to accommodate the objective-based goals of the game.
The cutscenes are composed of re-used footage from the three films, The Animatrix (2003) and Enter the Matrix with Laurence Fishburne narrating them.
To experience the abilities of the One rather than watch the films or play as a side character from the films, Path of Neo is a great game to play for the PlayStation 2, Xbox or PC.
