Scene-Stealers: Lola

While Shark Tale (2004) and its related media can be forgettable for most people, one of two characters is not. One of them is unusually beautiful and dangerous.

Lola (Angelina Jolie) is pretty much a G-rated version of her Oscar winning role Lisa Rowe from Girl, Interrupted (1999) but with SpongeBob Squarepants (1999) flair. She is no angel fish, however. She is one of the most memorable animated film villains thanks to her looks being similar to Jessica Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1989) and that her voice oozed pleasure as did the real Angelina Jolie.

“Look around. You’re cute, but… you’re a nobody.”

While some kids do not understand the concepts about a love triangle and gold diggers, Lola is a pretty good introduction to such topics.

“There is only one thing I want more than money… revenge.”

Lola is one of those villains who represents some bad women who after rich men and Jolie’s voice portrayal should have made her win an Oscar for Best Actress.
